🍂 Autumn.... my favourite time of year, sunny 🤔 but chilly, I love it! Reminds me of days at the rugby club, walk in the woods and bike rides through the fallen leaves!

💚 Green space is something Rue talks about in her perimenopause webinar. Getting outside, breathing the fresh air, getting some steps in, clearing your head, it is so good for us all.

I mean, there's a day for everything these days but sometimes something pops up that is really relevant and gives us an opportunity (not that we need one) to shout about it from the roof tops!

As many of you know, Little Active People isn't just about supporting the children, it is also about supporting the parents who are bringing up the little people!

Perimenopause is affecting Gill and I, everyday, the brain fog, the self doubt, the inability to retain information, the emotional highs and lows and this is potentially just the beginning.
The perimenopause, although different for each person, is something that every woman will go through in their lifetime and it is something that needs to be talked about more openly.

To celebrate World Menopause Day, we are offering our 'How Nutrition can support the Perimenopause' recording at a discounted rate, alternatively, if you would like to attend our next Live Webinar with Rue from @nutritionwithrue, we will holding our next session on Tuesday 2nd November 2021 with the opportunity to ask Rue questions directly.

🥳 Errr, anyone else's children currently have a busier social life than you!!

Birthday parties coming out our ears and I don't know about anyone else but I'm currently still waking up each morning and having to remember where the kids need to be at what time and what uniform/change of clothes they need that day! 😩

Pelvic Floor Confidence is a 2 hour online workshop where you will learn more about how you can improve your pelvic floor function and why it matters.

What you will learn:
- 3 ways to change your day to day habits to improve your pelvic floor health so you can take steps towards stopping the leaks.
- Fill in some of the gaps in understanding your pelvic floor and you will leave with a checklist of exercises you can do to build yourself up to high impact exercise,
- 3 videos to take away and
- A discount code for classes that will work further on your pelvic floor health.

You leak when you sneeze/laugh/cough/run

We are excited to get out webinars up & running again after the summer break and we're kicking off with 'Managing Big Emotions' which we feel is so important as the children transition back to school.

We have spoken to a number of professionals over the last couple of weeks from teachers to osteopaths and they have all seen an increase in anxiety or stress in the children, mainly due to the uncertainty of the last couple of years.

We want to support parents in understanding these emotions and how they can help their little ones deal with and manage them.

This two hour Helping Children to Manage Big Emotions workshop will be run by Charlotte from @thehappyhumanproject and will give you an in depth understanding of your child’s brain, emotions and what to do about them. You’ll come away with a bucket load of techniques and strategies to support your child’s mental and emotional health, from mindfulness to role play, these are all scientifically proven methods for dealing with overwhelming feelings and managing stress.

The workshop covers:
– Children’s brain development
– Why children feel such big emotions
– Strategies for before, during and after meltdowns
– How negative self-talk impacts emotions and mental health
– Techniques to combat negative self-talk and boost confidence and self esteem
– What are limiting beliefs and how to overcome them
